At PA Virtual Charter School, we believe in meeting students where they are—and helping them go even further. Our Middle School Honors Program is designed for exceptional learners who crave a deeper, faster-paced academic experience. This program offers motivated students the opportunity to expand their knowledge, refine critical thinking skills, and explore subjects with greater depth and complexity.

What is the Middle School Honors Program?

The Honors Program is available to students in grades 7 and 8 who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and a passion for learning. While all PA Virtual courses meet PA Core Standards, the Honors courses in Science, Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and History go beyond the standard curriculum. These classes challenge students through increased rigor, more complex content, and elevated expectations for both quality and quantity of work.

Honors students are often asked to complete additional reading, writing, research, and collaborative projects. Instruction is delivered at a faster pace and often incorporates in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and supplemental materials that push student learning to new heights.

Current PA Virtual students may qualify for the Honors Program if they:

Incoming students from other schools may also qualify based on:
