PA Virtual Clubs of the Month [September]

Cyber High School  |  Elementary School  |  Middle School

As we finish up our first month back at school, it's been awesome to see how quick everyone has jumped back into learning and also to our outings and picnics! For those who are new to PA Virtual Charter School, we’ve got a whole bunch of clubs, over 30, in fact. For those who are not new but looking for a change or something new - don't hesitate as they're great opportunities! They’re perfect for students who love everything from snapping cool photos in our Photography Club, to chatting about big ideas in the Bible Blast Club & Young Muslims Club, or getting creative in the Acting Club.

Remember that extracurricular activities and clubs are great ways to hang out with and make new friends. This month, we're super excited to get back into sharing more about five of our amazing clubs at a time! We'll give you all the details you need to join in.

ACT/SAT Prep Club
Considering college? The ACT/SAT Prep Club is perfect for high school students preparing for college entrance exams. It offers a supportive environment to practice test-taking skills, understand exam concepts, and learn helpful tips. Build up your confidence right here!

Club member Ann D. is happy she joined, saying, "I think that the club helped me a lot with preparing and feeling less stressed about taking the SAT, especially since I decided to take the exam with only a few months to prepare. My score was higher than I expected to get. Being calm and confident is better than knowing everything."

Join the ACT/SAT Prep Club here: Club Form or email skostaras@pavcs.us

This club is a fun gathering for students in grades 7-12 to learn about and explore their faith. BLAST Youth Group offers a space to make friends, play games, and just wind down. Activities range from Bible study and Kahoot games to movie nights, providing varied and engaging experiences. There's always something to look forward to!

Our past projects have included peer tutoring, high school info sessions, and virtual field trips! It's all about helping others, our community, and building character. If you're looking to volunteer opportunities - this is your club!

Interact-1PA Virtual Interact

PA Virtual Interact is a club focused on service and leadership. Students have the opportunity to develop leadership roles while engaging in community service. Past service projects include clothing drives, cards for seniors, community cleanups, and support for Toys for Tots. The club often collaborates with other clubs to create and present virtual school outings, such as the annual Earth Day celebration. Meetings are held twice a month from October through May.

Contact Kristin York at kyork@pavcs.us to join or consult the clubs' page on Blackboard for more information.

leadership-1Peer Leadership Club
The Peer Leadership Club is for high school students interested in creating an inclusive community that promotes kindness and positivity. Members discuss ways to inspire others through positive character development and building leadership skills. Their first meeting is coming up October 8th!

Look Out For More!
Whether you aspire to leadership, community service, academic preparation, or spiritual exploration, our clubs are a welcoming community for you to develop friendships and prepare for your future. Remember that we are also always forming new clubs and seeking out new ideas for clubs - so even if these five clubs don't immediately grab your attention, there will always be other ones to look out for and enjoy!
